Disney+ has slashed the price of its monthly subscription …but you’ll need to act fast to secure the discount. The deal isn’t just available to new users, previous Disney+ (pronounced “Disney Plus”) subscribers who have cancelled their direct debit are also eligible for the deal, which sees a one-month plan plummet to just £1.99. The mammoth discount expires on September 19th.

To celebrate Disney+ Day, the House of Mouse is offering a jaw-dropping 75% discount on streaming subscriptions.

With no sign of the Disney+ free trial set to return anytime soon …this is easily the most affordable way to start watching the immensely-popular Netflix rival. Open to new customers and returning subscribers, the ludicrous price cut offers one-month access to Disney+ for just £1.99

For less than £2, you’ll be able to stream every entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the latest entry Thor: Love and Thunder, which hit the streaming platform last week alongside an all-new Making Of documentary revealing behind-the-scenes details about the blockbuster.

You can also stream the complete Star Wars saga, including exclusive new shows like The Mandalorian and Andor set within George Lucas’ epic universe, every Pixar film, including recent entries like Lightyear and Soul, which skipped a traditional cinematic release in favour of Disney+ exclusivity.

The streaming platform also bundles all of the iconic hand-drawn Walt Disney animation, like The Jungle Book and Sleeping Beauty, most closely associated with the House of Mouse, as well as newer entries like Wreck-It Ralph, Encanto, and Tangled. Documentaries from National Geographic, blockbusters from 20th Century Fox, every episode of The Simpsons, exclusive movies like Prey and Steve Martin’s award-winning comedy whodunnit series Only Murders In The Building …the list of must-binge content on Disney+ goes on and on.

Best of all, the £1.99 deal isn’t only available for new customers. If you’ve previously held a Disney+ subscription but decided to take a break – you’ll also be able to take advantage of the incredibly low price to rejoin. Disney+ plans are available on a rolling monthly basis, so you can cancel at any time and not pay for than £1.99.

The offer is available until 8am on September 19, 2022. That really ensures this is the best Disney Plus deal you’ll ever find.

Disney+ usually costs £7.99 per month or £79 for an annual subscription. With a single subscription, Disney+ lets you stream on up to four devices simultaneously. That’s one more than possible with a subscription to Prime Video. Netflix lets you stream between 1 to 4 gadgets, but it depends on the subscription plan.

Disney+ has apps on a dizzying number of platforms, including iPhone, Android, Sky Glass, Sky Q, Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast with Google TV, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox, and PlayStation, to name just a few. Parental controls are available to all customers, so profiles for younger viewers can be restricted to only include age-appropriate TV shows and films. PINs can be used to prevent family members from bypassing the blocks on their own profiles.

The £1.99 deal kickstarted to herald the arrival of Disney+ Day (Thursday September 8, 2022).

For those who don’t know, Disney+ is an annual celebration to celebrate the launch of the streaming service. This time around, the celebration was timed to coincide with the D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event held in Anaheim, California from September 9 – 11, where subscribers in attendance will enjoy a sneak peek at upcoming Disney+ Originals.

On the day itself, Disney+ subscribers and their friends and family with theme park admission today will be invited to enter the theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, and Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris 30 minutes before regular park open to extend the celebrations.

Disney+ Day also saw a slew of new shows and movies land on the streaming service, including Thor: Love and Thunder, a new live-action Pinocchio starring Tom Hanks as Geppetto, a Making Of documentary around the recent Disney+ series called Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return, Pixar TV show Cars on the Road with fan-favourites Lightning McQueen and Mater, a brand-new short from The Simpsons, and sing-a-long versions of Frozen and Frozen 2.
